15,000 capacity international football stadium, a training precinct including a second 5,000 capacity stadium and indoor sports arena, a residential precinct with some 1,000 residences and a commercial mixed-use development.
The project
Western Melbourne Group, in partnership with Wyndham City Council, is currently undertaking development of a site in Tarneit. It includes a 15,000 capacity international football stadium, a training precinct including a second 5,000 capacity stadium and indoor sports arena, a residential precinct with some 1,000 residences and a commercial mixed-use development.
The Site is 62ha and currently is not within a gazetted PSP. As the Site is not within a gazetted PSP significant background work was undertaken to allow development to occur ahead of the PSP framework. The Site contains an existing waterway and requires the construction of twin wetlands to provide water quality treatment. Detailed design of the Site is currently being undertaken.
Our task
PEAKURBAN was engaged by West Melbourne Group to provide expert drainage and infrastructure advice to allow the development to occur ahead of the Victorian Planning Authority (VPA) PSP and Melbourne Water drainage scheme framework.
