The Position

Specifically, we are seeking a highly motivated and ambitious Water Resources Engineer with proven experience working the urban development and water & environment sectors.

To be successful you will display –

  • Assist the project team to deliver key drainage infrastructure to support urban development projects, including wetlands, waterways, raingardens and flood mitigation works.
  • Preparation and management of relevant drainage authority approvals required for drainage infrastructure. 
  • Oversee all aspects of the project lifecycle. Including feasibilities, strategies, detailed design and construction supervision.
  • Perform lead technical role within the Water & Environment Team including supervision and mentorship of junior staff.
  • Become a key driver in the commercial direction of the business unit, supporting management in key decision making as we look to expand existing services and into new markets.
  • Extend on your existing Authority relationships to deliver prompt outcomes for our Clients
  • Strong technical skills in 12d, AutoCAD, MUSIC, RORB, HEC-RAS/Tuflow

The following selection criteria should be addressed in your application –

  • A demonstrated knowledge of relevant legislations and standards within Victoria
  • Ability to provide excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • A commitment in providing high quality client service.
  • A drive to learn and develop skills
  • Experience in the delivery of urban development drainage infrastructure, including Melbourne Water wetlands and waterways
